Trail Point Aquatics & Wellness is Ankeny’s newest community recreation facility. Located on the DMACC Ankeny Campus, Trail Point provides an affordable and modern opportunity for individual and family wellness, fitness, and community interaction.
The 97,000 square foot, two-story facility features:
- 8-lane competition swimming pool
- Zero-entry family pool with water feature and extra swim lanes
- Therapy pool
- Two group fitness rooms and one cycling studio
- State-of-the-art exercise and strength training equipment
- Three racquetball courts
- A 10th of a mile elevated track that overlooks two gymnasiums
- Two full-sized basketball courts
- Child care services available while members are utilizing the facility
- A great staff to create an incredible member experience!
Trail Point also features a family sitting and gaming area, Cafe X and will be adjacent to DMACC’s new student center and food court.

Trail Point Aquatics & Wellness is located at 2006 S. Ankeny Blvd. Building 5, Ankeny, IA 50023 on the Ankeny Campus of DMACC.
Trail Point will:
Increase community partnerships, including strengthening our relationship with Ankeny Community School District, bringing people of all ages to the Ankeny Campus to participate in a variety of programs and services.
Provide an affordable and modern opportunity for individual and family wellness.
In addition to the benefits to the community, Trail Point will:
Contribute to DMACC’s overall mission of providing quality, community and student-centered education and training through incorporating hands-on experiential learning opportunities for a range of academic programs.
Provide greater opportunities for engagement in student life and wellness offerings which, studies show, leads to higher retention and better grades.
Promote student recruitment, retention and persistence through the availability of on-campus wellness and employment opportunities.
Your membership makes a difference! Revenue generated will cover operational costs and be reinvested in ongoing campus projects to better serve our Central Iowa students.
